Nah. He will cheerish his chances and live life strong again.Originally posted by Rock^Star:What about people in school, relatives, friends, parents etc? And he brought shame to his school, one of repute.
He may probably feel like committing suicide now, given his weak mentality.
I my dad were to slap me, I bet he won't be able to live to see the next day's Sun.Originally posted by tokyofire:the dad treat the son too well.. Dad kneeling on behalf of son, pleading for forgiveness. Give the son a farking slap lah. Dare to punch, dont dare to own up to mistake, give excuses, what kind of logic is that?
How many forummers here can take it if your dad does that? Dont u feel ashamed of yourself? if u dont, pls let me know~
but hey, slapping is also a form of discipline ma, to make the student to feel ashamed for his actions.Originally posted by Darkness_hacker99:I my dad were to slap me, I bet he won't be able to live to see the next day's Sun.

agree x 2! wat sort pf rule for sbs to retain consumers' card. without the card, how on earth they r going to travel if they r penniless?Originally posted by I-like-flings(m):conclusion.....the bus company and the boy is at fault..
1) bus company should not have stupid rules to retain the card as everyone also heard of how hard it is to get it back...... we have to trouble ourselves and waste our time due to bus company technical fault?? no sense right?
2) boy should not hit anyone....call police and send him to boy sch since he like to fight so much....i will wait to see if there is any double treatment on a boy from HCI vs an ah beng from neighbour sch.

Evidently, you prefer to read a little into my post and then form your own conclusion, neglecting the details. If you must reference my use of 'manual-control', at least read my statement carefully before 'jumping the gun'. Each bus has an internal and external manual activation. Since the bus driver is so sure that the students will make a dash for it, why continue to remotely activate it?Originally posted by Kenashi:he asked the gal to hand over the card but the bf snatched it back, i think this warrant for suspicion, furthermore he already radio the HQ for advice yet the couple tried to flee, which make them more guilty.
use manual door, like that what time then can reach the interchange, pls give constructive advice not bullsh!t
many doesn't mean all, pls don't generalise
of course lah, u whack the bus driver, what sympathy vote u expect![]()
This shows how people so easily believe press statements before actual sentencing. Before the person is actually convicted, he is already found guilty by a jury of his peers.Originally posted by BusSpeeder:this shows that you do not know what's happening now. you are saying that the bus driver is trying to act as a cop so as to earn merit points from the bus company. EVERY BUS CAPTAIN HAS THE RIGHT TO ACT AS A COP if he/she deemed that if this person is using a stolen card, he HAS THE RIGHT to take it away from him. the immediate reaction of the bus captain DO NOT MEAN that the girl has stole the ezlink card. every bus captain's reaction react THIS WAY when he/she feels that someone stole another person's card.
nextly, this may not be one "nice driver as you said". but at least this bus captain enforces the bus company's law, in which the bus company should/might give him a merit for it.
thirdly, the bus captain might be at fault, but HE DID try to bar them from leaving. don't forget, if the student and his girlfriend is still in the bus, when the bus inspector come after the bus driver radioed to SBS Transit, for the bus inspector to go in, the front/back door will have to be opened, where they might even make a dash for it once more. even if the driver's door opens and the driver gets out, they can even go out from the drivers door when the bus captain is not looking since the bus captain would most likely be outside the bus. you said about the manual door activation, DON'T FORGET they can make a run from it still, by actually crouching underneath the bus captain. the bus captain couldn't be that fat.
lastly, giving the driver the sympathy vote is correct because the boy DID PUNCH the bus captain, who is more elder than him. by punching the bus captain, he is showing disrespectfulness to someone who is actually older than him and furthermore do you think people will actually support this person who is only in his adolescence who just punch someone who might be already 50 something years old? there still is hope for this student since people will most likely forget this incident already anyway.
just cooperate la, what do you expect?Originally posted by 798:actually i will like to ask all wat happen if the bus uncle takes away your concession card claiming it was stolen or expired?
wat will be your reaction? feeling boil? or confuse? i believe most of us will be extremely unhappy right? the problem is this kid is from an elite sch dat made pple want to pin the sch down.
for the kid who took the wrong move for losing his head n chose violence, he is going to pay for his crime. but he is so young and his future will be gone for being impulsive.

By getting out of his seat and manually activating the door, he will have made his intentions clear to both. And this applies only for one bus stop, after which he waits for the inspector to arrive and 'offload' the errant students.
Alternatively, if he wants an air-tight senario, he can politely inform the passenger to wait for the inspector to arrive before he can de-bus, ensuring both students have nowhere to run.
What made you think i was implying that he manually opens and closes for every bus stop right up to the interchange?
he asked the gal to hand over the card but the bf snatched it back, i think this warrant for suspicion, furthermore he already radio the HQ for advice yet the couple tried to flee, which make them more guilty.
Whether the above action constitutes guilt or innocence is your perspective, and not FACT. You seemed to have ignored my earlier post concerning the convenient habit of people 'picking up' the ez-link cards that others may have accidentally dropped and use as their own.
Is that considered petty thievery? Or products of opportunity? Are you so simplistic to pass judgement based on speculation? You seem to be firmly (blindly) on the driver's side before the student has a chance to officially defend himself, while basing your comments on press statements. By your own yardstick, are you not conveniently generalising?
Learn a little more about how people twist and turn when providing police statements, and where a reliable version of events counts more than what actually happened, before commenting.
