There are many sections to visit, all different climbs...
You have to try it out to know...

There are some tea houses in Beijing,, big ones, quite pricey.
I went to Dr Tea. Heard that it is co owned by a Singaporean.
He must be damn rich, because I paid a lot for my tea.
His most expensive 30 years organic Pu Er was auctioned recently for 1480000 yuan. -

i miss eating em insects and froggies when i was in thailand. so delicious. u should try em. so crispy when fried. i can pop em all day.
rich in protein, zero in fat. perfect for ur diet.

Actually, there were many people @ Juyongguan. We started our climb at 12noon, which meant many people were already there climbing. The pictures I showed you are those at the peak, where few venture.
At Badaling, we were there at 7.30am. So tt we could climb 3 n 1/2 hours before heading back to Singapore. So very few people at that time and nobody at the peak except us eating our breakfast of big juicy apples.
We almost reached the section where wild bushes grow on the path itself.. That's how far we climbed.
We met a lot of people at the start at 11.30 am on our way down. -

I wanna thank those gals and guys who taught me how to bargain in my last thread "I am going to Beijing".
I got great deals.. better prices than my two tour guides at Sui Shui Market.
By the way, we were very lucky. My 5 day Beijing tour consisted of just us four pax.
The other Singapore 8 day Beijing group had 20 pax!
So we could do our own thing, spent as much or as little time as we want, eat all the food ourselves without fighting for our share... and we had exclusive attention and service. -

some of the ppl are illiterated and they ask u to write ur name on paper , then they just follow the shape
And yea , in china there people treat mao ze dong as god , every house will have his statue , reason wise im not sure , researching for history -

i am sure because our characters are difficult
and they carved fairly quickly.
Juyongguan metal cert 40 yuan (S$
Badaling metal cert only 20 yuan !! (S$4)
We bought a stone from a young artist for 50 yuan (S$10) and asked him to carve in Chinese " The Great Wall of China, Badaling, June 4 2007", which he did without us writing the words down..
