hmm.. clubbing isn't as simple as u think, TS. those kind of places are complicated. there is a reason why they put 18 as min age n some 21 or 23.

In Japan we have a thing called 'Patrolling' in which teachers are asked to drive around the city when they are cho-bo-lan and hope to catch their students doing the wrong things.Can really score a lot of points with the School Principal for being the Kaypoh Teacher of the month but I dont see any use in playing Police and thieves with 16-18 year olds.So when I am on patrol detail I go straight home and straight into SGforums>

If I was the teacher and a student told me that i shouldn't be snooping on them if they are doing illegal things outside of school, that this is their own life and that all this snooping is madness....

Actually I think it's a good sign the teachers are trying to keep a tab on you kids.. *heaves sigh of relief* there are still some decent teachers out there!!
Well there're legit reasons why it's illegal to smoke / drink when you're under 18. I'd suggest u try and understand those reasons a lil better, TS.. don't lash out at the adults who try and steer you away from it.. If u're doing somethin non-legit, u can't expect to pull your rights here.
All in all It's all fine and dandy if you just wanna have some teenage fun.. just be sensible, don't get hurt, and don't hurt anyone in the process.. some hurt doesn't show until much later in life, beware

hua cuz if you want good communication from the kids you have to be the first to communicate.Last year I caught my students smoking at the bowling alley,they were quick to get rid of the cigarettes.I told them that I was more concern about their health and that they should not smoke in public when in uniform that is common sense .As for the health part ,They need not argue with me cuz I am a living proof of what smoking can do.These are the Ah Beng & Ah Huay (squat one corner type) Japanese version but they dont smoke anymore. -

Well, in reply to some of your comments I am willing to take full responsibility for my actions if I do get caught and although the teachers' concern is appreciated I feel that it is unecessary. Some of my friends' parents don't mind them drinking and smoking even though they're underaged as it's perfectly normal and the majority of people my age do so. I have a teacher who sometimes goes to the same clubs as we do and he doesn't mind us being there and even has conversations with us over a few drinks.

Last I checked, pregnancy wasn't demanded by law, people have a choice to opt in or opt out, as well as to end it if they do not want it.
Until it is mandated by law that all ladies have to get pregnant by a certain age, then let's start to compare pregnancy to NS. -

unless u want me to conduct a nationwide survey and investigation on the number of teens who smoke and drink i dont think i'd be able to give u 100% evidence. maybe not singaporeans but im pretty damn sure that if u were to go to any public school in australia u'd find the majority of kids smoking and drinking. so follow my reasoning for a while: majority of schools are public schools, and the majority of kids in public schools smoke and drink. so therefore the majority of kids smoke and drink. and i know smoking and drinking isnt beneficial to me i dont need a lecture about the health risks of it as i'm fully aware of them alreadyOriginally posted by Xephone_xenon:This is the kind of morbid mentality everyone should avoid.
