Should students be cane for breaking the rule

then, DM found out i have pornographic in phone. Double.
24 demerit, inform parent phone confiscate cane two, but hold but one.
was in Office though. i want more garang public cane.
2nd incident, was i skip assemebly, i always 10am go in school, go eat breakfast
i always climb in climb out of school. just not to take late form.
got caught, 12 demerit one cane. -

Caning a student in front of the entire school is barbaric and against human rights, especially against someone as young as a student. You can sue the school for a lot of money for that kind of public humiliation.

Well it seems to work for a lot of other countries. This can be very subjective.
I know of a parent who loves to cane for god knows what reason and in the end getting a rebelious child who entered the cell for some wrong doings.
While some may support the idea of spare the rod, spoil the child but in some cases, parents are able to get their child's attention and lead them on the right path.
As for the schools, it is mandatory, they are pressured by one another to use the same punishment so unless you can get MOE to do something, it will last. Basically they tell you some story after that. Oh, in some schools, such as mine, the school tend to be trigger happy, regardless of right or wrong, they piak your butt...
