its kinda part of growing up i guess...when they grow up they feel that there is a need to b attached, a need to b wanted n stuff...anyways doesnt apply to all one la...mayb caused by peer pressure n stuff oso loh....see ppl haf then oso want....coz in a r/s u r pampered n loved n cared...but being in a relationship is more than juz havin that person there to provide care....its a future with them n often ppl cant see to that.....anyways, nothing wrong with u la, juz try to ignore their teasing....

The reason why your friends are getting boyfriends may largely depend on the jc you are in and its culture. i'm also in J1 now, and my school is pretty much a mugger school, so most students would put studies ahead of relationships. Having a relationship would definitely incur an opportunity cost of sacrficing your studies, so you have to do some cost-benefit analysis. If you look far enough, results will definitely bring you farther than relationships do. as we all know it, relationships break and form, but you cant take your a levels again. anyway its just two years, so studies first, relationships later, but not too late, maybe at uni.

our school people started mugging even before the holidays. the library is always filled. (: 24/7 mugging centre.

haha ya and that's the problem. People who tell you they dont mug are the best secret muggers. they always come out of the exam hall telling you they screwed it, but in the end they all pass and pass well. aiya r/s is just an on-off thingy, and nj is good school so you make sure you grab the ooportunity to ace your a levels. there are so many guys in uni and you may end up having to choose.

yup. i hope that i can get good A level grades too. hoping to get a scholarship. i dont know abt the bf thing though. i just dont get it. and my best friend keeps suaning me that i wont get it cause im too slow. haha. lol.

Actually you should have come to vj. the ratio of girls to guys is around 6+ to 3+, and most of the guys are nerds. so there isnt much distraction anyway. no offense, but i heard there are not many pretty girls in nj?

hmmm, i always thought that there are quite a few hot girls in our school. Maybe everyone's taste is different? there are quite a few really pretty ones. the ex prom queen from chij toa payoh is in our school? i think she's quite pretty. but i guess vj and ac has more pretty girls.

Actually by strategic calculations, your friend is wrong to say you're slow as everything starts all over again in uni. you meet people from everywhere and relationships can blossom. By then, you would be faster than her as you have secured the results. She may very well break up as her bf goes to ns and she goes to uni. we're just playing around with time.
