The sporty types are mostly those who came through dsa. of course there are some exceptions though.

YAH i dont believe vj is mugger school. My frens from vj are the complete opposite. mugger ghetto. god. it sounds so depressing. we are already a boring grey bunch and now our school is a ghetto. haha, but it sorta feels like one. they lock us in to prevent us from running away from sports day. but i still succeeded in running away with my friends. haha.

Now i understand the alternative purpose of NS-to break up relationships and form them all over agian in uni. girls will meet guys two years older and guys will meet girls who are two years younger.

You shouldn't be affected by peer pressure so much. Many of these so-called "relationships" are just lousy disguises for lust games, so, don't fall into the trap. You might get more than you've asked for. Just be careful, and have fun in JC! (which, incidentally, I'm in J1 this year.)

and i guess ns does break up alot of couples. girls being unable to stand temptation perhaps? but ns sounds so scary. with all the pt and lizards and ghost stories. -

Srsly what's wrong with not being attached in jc?
Ok not slamming those who are attached cos i think they have the freedom to fall in love.
But my friends and i are still enjoying our jc life without any distractions. Sometimes we instead pity those who have gf/bf cos they have less freedom to go out as they wish.
Those who are in a rush to get attached do not know the true meaning of relationship. They are seeking more of a puppy love or lust or just wanting to try something new, not the real deal.
At the end of your jc life, perhaps you will look back at the friends you made, not only whether you were attached or not. If you were, then good for you, it's an added bonus. Not attached? I think it is no disadvantage. You are still young. Most relationships (not all) do not pass the NS litmus test anyway.
Lol seems like the jc bunch here is quite huge. Same batch with greenblackwhite in rj. I have some friends who are attached and a lot who are not. What's the rush?
I believe when peer pressure starts getting into the equation, it becomes more of a fad rather than something that you hold dear to yourself.
Enjoy your jc life. It will be over before you know it.
As I said, if you get attached, then good for you it's a bonus, else I do not really see what you are losing out on. -
jc life is short.
first you have your nationals and before you know it promotionals come and you need to study.
then before you know it next year's nationals are coming.
and BEFORE YOU KNOW IT, the a'levels are knocking on your door.
and BEFOREEEEE YOU KNOW ITTTT, the guy goes off to the army while the girl meets older, more mature and possibly richer guys in uni.
i know at least 3 jc relationships. none of them lasted beyond ns. -
Bf/Gf is just a bonus, but it may be a bane.
what if there's a breakup and one party can't get over it?
