as in , got1 big group sec 2 or 3 go , then usually only 3 or 4 teacher bring them along , then say you will follow behind help look after them etc etc , that will be more easily be convince
then you suggest that you pay your own air ticket and insurance , they might think is a good idea because they dont lose anything but another one helping the staff.
For your info , usually school trip or depending on agency , teacher got free air ticket , coz got a big order of 20 or 40 air ticket , they will give 2 or go bargain maybe 4 ?
Hope my suggestion help , if you are those more matured ones or with recognised leadership , i think it will works better -
