Carry one can of baygone insect spray in your gf's bag...then when you are in times of trouble, tell them "hold on ah...wait ah...i got something in the bag for all of you" then take out the insect spray and spray in all their eyes until it burns and melts their eyeballs, then go give each and everyone of those gangsters a kick in their ku ku jiao and then kick their mouth until they choked on their own teeth.
While you are kicking their mouth, make sure you xiao sa de take out your mobile and dial-a-cab to ride into the darkness together with your gf.

actually in army, I learned a bit of basic jujitsu and taekwando... Useless though...
Jujitsu learned was for Ops Bacinet (think spelled wrongly).... Learned how to lock people, break their arms, break their legs, etc...
Taekwando only learn how to kick...
