Alamak, if there is a FAT man standing on the left, how to squeeze thru ?
Sometimes the lady in front stands not left, not centre, it is dangerous to squeeze, so better remain standing on the right.
Sometimes ..... left side no space, so take the right side, then, leg soft, dont feel like climbing.
Anyway how long (how many minutes) does one take from the bottom to the top ? 5 mins or 10 mins ? By running up the stairs, how much time saved ?
The MRT Station may consider employing staff to station at the escalator with a pee pee to pee people blocking the way.
Everyone makes use of the right and save some time should contribute says $0.10 to pay the staff.
Think it still needs to take more time to educate the commuting public to be more considerate and be mindful of others. -

It is not just a matter of time saved but also if a few idiots would to stand on the right side, they basically clog and jam the crowd of people behind who wish to go up/down the escalator. -
i guess its cuz most ppl are right handed, so naturally they will use their right hand to grab the railing.
just say excuse me lor. that's what i do.
or if i'm feeling impatient, i will use my laptop bag and nudge them

MRT should start to put up more posters again since we continue to have influx of foreigners coming to Singapore and they do not know the 'stand on your left and DON'T stand on the right' rule yet. -

1. dump their handbag on the ezlink card reader and do circular motion with their handbag on the card reader for it to read their ez-link card. when all fails, FIND the card then. oh who cares abt those behind.
2. "okay! i meet chiu here.. bla bla bla... this time.. hehehe.. bye!!! " okay now i'm infront of the faregates. -close clamshell phone, put inside bag, find ezlink card- -

another type of idiot will be those who put the card inside their bags and put the whole damn bags on the touchpads hoping that the gate will open. another idot are those who are already approaching very near the gate and realise that the cards are not with them and choose to stand just in front of the gantry to search for the card. Plain inconsiderate. Pls lah, move aside to search for your card and not to block people.
Anyway, back to standing on the right. PLEASE, DO NOT STAND ON THE RIGHT. CONTINUE TO WALK UP/DOWN THE ESCALATOR WHEN YOU ARE ON THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE ESCALATOR. -
MRT should do more work by asking passengers to stand on the left !!!

I like to hold the rails with my right hand so I always stand on the right. If someone behind me says excuse me nicely, I will give way. On a few occassions, the person behind made some rude noises. I just f-care her.
