Are singapore pastors millionaires?

i agree, i have gone to the church about three times.
the people strike me as superficial and yes, their insincerity almost scares me.
no-it does scare me.
and i do not approve of sun ho at all, also they support her so much.
do pastors deserve our money we think we are giving to charity? no. they do not. -

I went to CHC about 7 weeks.
The thing that struck me was the 'warm-up' pastor. He's the guy who talks before the offering. He usually says something like this.
"If you want God to do great things in your life, you must do great things for God! We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, cheque or internet banking."
I have a friend in CHC and he gives far more than 10% of his income. And he's absolutely sincere.
I once asked him if he was worried the church was misusing the money.
He gave all the usual explanations about how having money furthers god's work etc. But he finished off with this.
"At the end of the day, it doesn't matter if the church is misusing the money. I'm not really giving to the church. I'm giving to god. The money represents my work, my blood, my sweat. I give to god because He is worth it and I love Him. If the church betrays the trust as an agent of god's will, it's a terrible thing. But it doesn't change my relationship with Christ." -
one thing i dun understand.. it's why singapore got so many blind ppl that believe in CHC......
hmmm but come to think of it...... if 66.6% can support PAP.... hmm.. why not CHC hor.... -

i believe everyone is suppose to make their own judgement on what is right and what is wrong.. not leave it to god to decide.. -

Why give to the church? Why not give directly to those in need?
He actually had an answer for that but it didn't make sense to me and I don't think I could present his view properly. It has something to do with the Church being the body of Christ and a bunch of sticks together is stronger than many individual sticks so by donating to the church, the church can do much more than what an individual can. Something along those lines. ;P
I disagree with that view of course. Giving all contributions to the church seems like putting all the eggs in one basket. When you invest, it's better to diversify your investments to mitigate risk.
