My only problem is my doubt over where all the donations went to..Originally posted by 4794:Seriously speaking, whats your problem with those mega churches?have they offend u or what?
people wan to donate their 10%,its their problem
Different people have different religion and belief
seriously speaking even where the donations go to it is also none of your businessOriginally posted by alleggerita:My only problem is my doubt over where all the donations went to..
I'm not saying people cannot donate 10% to the churches..it's perfectly fine if all the money goes to help people!!! BUT NO! Who does it "HELP" in the end? The pastors there?!![]()
Well, here's where you assume..Originally posted by 4794:seriously speaking even where the donations go to it is also none of your business
If you are that kapo,go find out where the donations for chinese temple went to
Originally posted by alleggerita:CHC is such a well-known notorious church..I don't despise Christians, I just despise Christians from CHC..most of them are revolting..but some are okay..
Originally posted by alleggerita:For CHC, it's compulsory to donate..that's how ridiculous CHC is..not only is donation compulsory, they even set the amount you ahve to donate..![]()
From the start, you have been targeting christiansOriginally posted by alleggerita:Ok, lets say christians who go CHC are really very willing to donate 10% of their salary due to the reason you stated above, but I doubt the pastors working there thinks the same way too..
To put it simply, places of worship are too commercialised nowadays..ESPECIALLY CHC..
there's no such thing as new god. its a same god all of the ppl have been worshipping since past. whats up with the new god thing? a change in god? or this is year 2007 and lets welcome him to the new era?Originally posted by 4794:because god is a new god
In fact, how big or how 'rich' the church shows that the church is prospering and receiving blessing from god
i don know how to explain to u,go to chc and ask pastor kong yourselfOriginally posted by Dead_Man_Inc:there's no such thing as new god. its a same god all of the ppl have been worshipping since past. whats up with the new god thing? a change in god? or this is year 2007 and lets welcome him to the new era?
Once again, it shows how immature you are. Did you even read the thread title at all? The thread title suggests it's about christianity, so obviously my arguments here are about christianity. Why would I want to bring up about other religions like buddhism or Taoism or any other religion?Originally posted by 4794:From the start, you have been targeting christians
If you have doubt on the chinese temple donations, how come i don see you raising your doubts?![]()
Yes,you have said that chc is too commercialised
Anymore thing to add?![]()

CHC is also christians, other church member also christiansOriginally posted by alleggerita:Once again, it shows how immature you are. Did you even read the thread title at all? I have doubts about where money in temples go to but I didn't raise it up because it won't be related to the thread. So now does that answer your question? And if you read properly ONCE again, even if I was targetting a particular group, I am targetting CHC and NOT christians..I have said before that I don't despise Christians, I only despise CHC.
So PLEASE, don't ASSUME.![]()
i don't think i need to go there to get the answerOriginally posted by 4794:i don know how to explain to u,go to chc and ask pastor kong yourself
If you say soOriginally posted by Dead_Man_Inc:i don't think i need to go there to get the answer
I suppose the money does go into helping people, at least part of the money.Originally posted by alleggerita:My only problem is my doubt over where all the donations went to..

about the rise and build program,if u can donate than u donateOriginally posted by AugoeideS:Went to CHC for like, 3-4months odd. Heard of double tithing? Not only do you give tithes during service, you have to give tithes during cell group meeting too! So in a week you're giving 2 tithe...+ if you are a member of their church, you have to donate for the Rise & Build program.
And wow, i do feel that they're really very commercialized. Their current focus turns on to help evangelize in China. Good market prospect ?? Why not the poorer countries in africa?
Just don't like their way of preaching as a church - it is like marketing. E.g. "Free ben and jerry icecream for New Friends!"
Compared to a methodist church i went to in my neighbourhood, is really very different.
Simple, it is call "peer pressure". They're not that dumb, right?Originally posted by 4794:about the rise and build program,if u can donate than u donate
Did they surround you with a knife and asked you to donate?
Or did they threaten you to donate?![]()
I am an ex chc member so i know what is going on
They don force people to donate
Yes,i have to admit they do kinda of pressure you but they do not force youOriginally posted by AugoeideS:Simple, it is call "peer pressure". They're not that dumb, right?![]()
You correctOriginally posted by strado:Regarding the rockbands in the church, I think its ok because we are living in a new modern era. So its not uncommon to see youngsters seeing christian songs in rock genre, as long as their heart is with god, should be ok.
About the money part... it seems, some churches practise that too, just not on a scale as large as CHC.
To see how it should be done, look at Islam.Originally posted by alleggerita:I'm not saying people cannot donate 10% to the churches..it's perfectly fine if all the money goes to help people!!! BUT NO! Who does it "HELP" in the end? The pastors there?!![]()
