Para 1. In the early years, many Sgreans depend on the am for their lifelihood but as time goes on, a new generation of Sgreans are coming up & the rating of the am will gradually be tipping towards the parity area.Originally posted by Kuali Baba:Or did they? Of course, some people worked for Brits as Ah Mahs and the like. However, others remember their cockiness before the Japanese invasion and the meek surrender thereafter. And tons of people here were born well after they'd left.
I guess you're better off blaming Hollywood stereotypes (although these are changing a little) if you want to find a reason for fawning behaviour in the latter group.
Aiyo Ah Kong, I think yr pt 3 implied mostly to those Uncles and Aunties born and lived in or near the end of colonisation, as the so called 4th generation Singaporean, we studied on how LKY gain independence for Singapore (protrayed as a Hero and father of Singapore) since our PAP days in the kindergarden. Therefore in a neutral perspective, i do not overrate any ang mo or no mo or whatever coloured mo. The liking of their looks, sizes and styles by me is not an indication of overrating the ang mo.Originally posted by richong 3216:I was enjoying the side show by the ladies until I saw yours & I know we must come back to the subject on & off so as to be not too far off course - so here I go, just a short one this time:
Pt 3. Under a century of British colonization, Sg has concenptualized images of the am in a certain light. History can generate any spectrum of our emotions depending on how it affects us & fear or respect is given according to the merits.
If someone (am british) can manage you (Sg) hook, line & sinker for more than 100 years, what do you think your mental state, as regards the am (British) will be?
I think you already very small, so dun cringe and shrink futher ya.Originally posted by Kuali Baba:I've got a sore throat, lass, so I'm not making any. And even if I do make some, none will be coming your way.You didn't make me laugh, you made me cringe.

u Got to hv some size to be a man and rate the ang mo ok.
Ya, those big or small is the physical part of it, not a matter of overating them.Originally posted by richong 3216:Angel - exactly that's what I am going to say.
Look at u - I presume u r the young ones & u dont overrate the am except dont I dont know what big guns or small guns u r talking but that is another matter![]()

Ratings are a different matter, richie - they're for, as the Stereophonics album title goes, language, sex and violence, not stereotypes.Originally posted by richong 3216:In the early years, many Sgreans depend on the am for their lifelihood but as time goes on, a new generation of Sgreans are coming up & the rating of the am will gradually be tipping towards the parity area.
Para 2. Well Hollywood 'make believe' at times can influence our young ones - if not why is there a rating for certain age groups to view certain movies?
Are u overating them?? they created gay bars, gay marriage, homosexual, explicit sex, guns and drugs, tattoos and casinos, g strings and topless, cigarettes and pornography, killing machine and nuclear bomb, divorce and sex enhance pills etc etc...there are always the good and the bad ya.Originally posted by Kuali Baba:My white friends with a proper sense of piss-taking humour would drop you sooner than you can say 'gullible corny bint'.
And I certainly rate them well, the guys and especially the girls - they're open minded, friendly, not shy, speak well with sweet accents (including the European ones) and far less one-dimensional than some of the locals I've met.![]()
U lucky met the good one, u get a pycho one, he may rape u.Originally posted by MidnightK:page 70 and not finished??

Fyi many of my buddies while we r having happy hours told me that physically the am ones r not so 'solid' ( something a bit like a sotong!!) as compared to non am which although physically small, but always pack a punch!!![]()
It's something like the big red chilli is not spicy at all but u try the tiny chilli padi then u'll know.
I didn't know homosexuality was created. And tattoos have been around for centuries, the polynesians did it long before any ang mo. Same with cigarettes, they have been consumed in many different forms by many different cultures. And the early proto firearms were created by the Chinese, not am.Originally posted by angel7030:Are u overating them?? they created gay bars, gay marriage, homosexual, explicit sex, guns and drugs, tattoos and casinos, g strings and topless, cigarettes and pornography, killing machine and nuclear bomb, divorce and sex enhance pills etc etc...there are always the good and the bad ya.
That applies to the scientists, politicians and other people in history from their countries, not the ones I'm seeing.Originally posted by angel7030:Are u overating them?? they created gay bars, gay marriage, homosexual, explicit sex, guns and drugs, tattoos and casinos, g strings and topless, cigarettes and pornography, killing machine and nuclear bomb, divorce and sex enhance pills etc etc...there are always the good and the bad ya.
So keep your finger cross, just out of my doors are white peoples working, i am not shy to talk to them, and there is one thing i find in ang mo gals different from me, is that they can insult you with sweet words that sometime u dun even get it and get a laugh from them, for me, i go straight and tell them off once and for all.
Many years ago when I was in London as a tourist (group tour), I saw 2 young girls with unkempt general appearance & dishevelled hair lying on the walkway with nobody giving a damn. And while going to take the tube, we met some kids where were trying to beg things from us.Originally posted by Zarks:ang mohs are always overrated due to their intelligence in most field
but that is only applicable to those high class ppl just like high class ppl in any country.
Basically they look real handsome and pretty, we always amazed by their look and we often overrated them as being intelligent..
but nah, some of them are , some of them arent.
ang moh's are still humans and still not as perfect as most ppl think. ITs just our luck to meet so many good ang mohs which happened to be tourist on our country and we do no know what they do back in their country..
back in their country, their ppl are just like our ppl, just the culture differences makes many ppl assumed that they are of a very good attitude and so on.
Ang mohs are clever enough not to behave ridiculous in other country especially when they are working here which is the reason why many ang moh in our country tend to behave a very good manner
Many ppl didnt know. Most ang mohs dont really give a damn to unfortunate ppl.. only few will.. but most will even curse them. Why do you think that even the beggars do many kind of stuffs or stunt to impress the ppl ? cuz nobody gonna give a shyt to beggars without anything. They wont give a penny to beggar that dont impress them at all.Originally posted by richong 3216:Many years ago when I was in London as a tourist (group tour), I saw 2 young girls with unkempt general appearance & dishevelled hair lying on the walkway with nobody giving a damn. I was a shock to me because I never expected to see such a picture.
