Coming back to the Australian Tennis Open, it looks like the ang mos of eastern & western Europe especially Serbia have overhelmed all the other ang mos - James Blake & the William sisters r all ousted.
10.30 am the big guns will be playing the semi-finals & I am getting ready to enjoy myself.

Tennis - world of the ang mos
Yesterday it was sheer enjoyment watching the semi final between 2 am - Jo Wilfried Tsonga & Rafael Nadal. What a thrashing Nadal got from the sensational new kid on the block Tsonga who believe it or not is unseeded whereas Nadal is seeded No. 2. With the scoreline of 6-2, 6-3, 6-2 favouring Tsonga, it must be a very big mouthful of his own medicine for Nadal to swallow!!
For me all the am male/female players are nice to watch them playing but for some unknown reasons, Nadal (although I think he is a nice am) somehow or other grates on my nerves with his mannerism of fidgetting here & there, pumping his fist angrily into the air after he had scored a big point & almost alway stugging at his butt before he makes his serve. Can I play the song 'Broke Back Mountain' for him?
This afternoon, Roger Federer (my favourite) will be playing Djokovic for a place in the final - to face the new Mohd Ali (he looks like MA) of tennis - Wilfried Tsonga.
I m standing by & will not be missing it. -

my tennis coach gave me a stack of old tennis mags when i was under him. and there was a (i think) early 1990s one where sharapova was 12. for some reason i never quite forgot the pic (though i never remembered the name cos at that time...russian names were a tongue-twister). and when sharapova got famous, i dug out the mag and it was REALLY HER!
