haha in the bible theres a verse that goes something like: Jesus said if you sin with your eyes you dig them out, you sin with your hands cut them off.

I think I made a mistake about that... I've read back and actually all sea-animals are halal, even the poisonous ones...but got catch...
So halal foods refering to animals only:-
1st Layer: Animal must be a herviour Mammal, all kinds of sea-animals, all kinds of birds except for birds or prey, not reptiles and amphibians, not carnivourous or omnivorous or scavengers
2nd layer: Quran 2:195 And spend [freely] in God's cause, and let not your own hands throw you into destruction; Asad(2,173) and persevere in doing good: behold, God loves the doers of good.
Meaning, don't knowing let eating this food lead to your own distruction. i.e eating poisonous food that will do you harm... or eating foods that you are severly allergic to... or eating poisonous fish that will poison you unless preparation of the fish makes it edible...
3rd layer: must be properly slaughtered, except for non-mamalian sea-animals, i.e. fish, squid, etc, coz they got gills instead of throats...
zzz... i tried to make it simple but in the end still need to write long story... =.=

it's not wrong to ask here and there to clarify. but not ALL of us know the real reason of why to this and that especially to why we can't eat pork.
my muslim teacher once said to me why we can't eat pork. i paid attention, it was a little complicated. but it was sensible. too complicated till i forgot what was the reason, honest.
all in all, i just obey what God has passed down to us. that is not to do sin etc. and yes, we have a growing number of idiot muslims in singapore. pre-marital sex, mats, minahs, clubbing, beers etc. they are a disgrace to the muslim society. i'm a sixteen year old muslim. i speak my mind, that's all. i'm not a mat btw!

During Ramadan, purity in thoughts & action are practised and hence, sexual thoughts & activities are not allowed. Doesn't that imply that sex is considered 'evil & unclean'?
If so, why is it considered dirty only during Ramadan?

I have the malay friend, don't know if he act religious or what but he told my other chinese friend that muslims dont eat pork because they dont have necks and they are still alive even after you cull and cook them. He also said that muslims cannot eat animals without necks.
But what I heard from other people is that these animals are "dirty".
