Remembering Singapore the way it was

Just wondering what would happen in a minor traffic accident today.I remember when I was a kid in my father's car when we got pretty banged up by another car.Both drivers cooly walked out of their cars shouted at each other for about 10 minutes exchanged particulars went back to their cars and drove off.

REMEMBERS KALLANG SWIMMING COMPLEX.....IT WAS DA BIGGEST SWIMIN POOL AT DA TIME!!!AND BEST THING IS THE FOOD AT THE FOOD STALL.SAUSAGE ROLLS !!!
AND OUTSIDE THE SWIMMING COMPLEX WERE THOSE people sellin nasi lemak n fish balls.

remebers nice cool air at east coast beach area after the cross junction next to kallang swimming complex.sun seems to be brighter in those days and air cooler too.
remebers shipyards at kallang next to national stadium....and the ships so close to fence lines!
remebers that aerodrome thing that somehow turned into an amusement park at kallang area.think kallang is like a forgotten place.nice houses there though....alomh mountbatten road.it seems so spacious there as compared to cosy orchard or bukit timah area.

How to forget Kallang and the smell coming out of the river?

remembers the rubber trees along a bus stop near bedok area,,,,,,remembers malay food stall selling plenty of dishes from sambal cockles,sambal mussels,mutton rendang,beef rendang,fried potato patties,deep fried beef lungs,stewed spleens in curry,fried fish,sambal chilli,jackfruit sayur etc etc. and they were cheap too in those days!!how i wished i had bought more and ate till my tummy burst!!!
then there was the time where the bedok matsushita factory spewed chemicall fumes daily from the paintwork they were doing on compressors .everyday bedok mrt station smelt like part of the factory!remebers people from japan touring the plants and looking at machinery.all these important people coming all the way from japan just to look at compressor fridge production from start to end..from the metal stamping of sheet metal to curved compressor hemispherical assembly to electrical wiring windings by robots and assembling them into the compressor itself.i still rmeber the one called SQ compressor whicgh was longer than the average fridge compressor.
i remebered the canteen looked like some prison at the canteen and the food n curry were placed in beaten up aluminium pots.
i remebered the gal from my cohort were placed in the office while the boys were placed in crummy places.i swear i wont wanna go back to those low tech enviroment again as a youth especially in japanese factories.

If you ever visit Japan come to Kawasaki City and you would noticed that a part of it looks exactly like Kallang -
kawasaki city...a city of old industrial machines?must be nice.....me not fortunate to goto japan or get anything worthwhile in spore.,all i got in spore were heartpains and headaches.

yes im in oz now.i just go my pr.
aches n pain is mostly in spore although i get it from time to time in oz.

How are the Ozzies treating Asians there in your place? I go back to Singapore from time to time to visit family and friends and nothing like Home Sweet Home Singapore....where Singaporeans treat each other like crap>LOL

aussies treating asians in my area is so so.some smile sweetly some dont.pretty much as what u see in brisbane city. but its diffwerent when u come to them in an armani suit.however some vietnamese would yell and make fun of the aussies...some aussies are however insane and violent.their werk methods i find are downright limb losing and i question them all the time!but what do they know...they are just farmers with a computers and havnt got much good or decent education .they are indeed egoistic and proud....even they i laugh at their damn downright stupid methods they have.they are one of those people who insists u do that job properly even though they cant do it given 3 lifetimes!
but they do have the best cheap supermarket foodstuff n cheap great tastin chocolates in oz supermarkets!!!im afraid im addicted to their food than to their people.

lazy yes......and when they werk...they werk like no tomorrow......they werk 7 days non stop 12 hrs per day.they method is not based on human physiology but rather do the job till its done at expense of life n limb which i find amusing!!i am only glad i dont work near their types unlike the americans.
ah well..not asking for a lot...just food and some space i can develope it in the near future.the japs in oz dun go near the aussies for strange reasons.

Remembered I once drove against the traffic as I was not aware that they converted it into a one way street. Nearly knocked down a motorbike! So malu.

I am sure it is an honest mistake but next time the first thing you should check is the urinal sink (dont know what to call it).If dont have ,you better walk out quickly

remembers sarimbun area in muddy swamp areas/it was full of mussels everywhere on muddy beaches...damn huge mussels with the equally huge sea worms around them.
remembers some areas of sarimbun seas had sulfer gas spewing out of certain areas and it smelt really bad and there were crocodiles popping its head near u too!
but i found one sandy beach which had lala clams pissing water out from soil ...it was a stretch of beach frequented by families!!!dunno what that beach near woodlands was called.cant seem to be able to find it anymore or dunno where it was...but it was along 6kmstretch along sarimbun area.
remebers live firing at nite in sarimbun where they fired live rounds and machinegun rounds all the time from nite to next morning along with fighter jets dropping bombs and exploding nearby to me!remebers sleeping thru the waves of jets who dropped their bombs near me...i could swore one hit next to my camp where i was sleepin.....bo bo shooter fighter bomber pilot .......along with plenty of army machinegun fire in sarimbun area....those were the days of living dangerously!!

How to remember when my parents wont let me go near swamp areas? So how now got any more mussels,clams and worms ar not? -
no idea koga ninja....i hate mud...i love orchard road shopping areas however.
