If it only happen once, just ask for replacement. ![]()
Well, if that happened to me... I am just gonna blow the matter up and expect a good answer from them.

You may write in to MacDonald management and relate what had happened.
Returned food are not supposed to be served (by food safety standard). They are considered as contaminated as it has been passed via another person's (customer) hands. You have the rights to question them.
Hope this helps.
I didn't take down details and didn't have a camera with me. The manager was there (I think a filipino/malay) but she didn't do anything yet she seen what happened.
But I can vouch it happened at the Bedok outlet (in a cinema) next to bus interchange.
How do I write to mcdonalds management? Is there an email?

It may already happened to you, just that you didn't realise.
Next time after you ordered, observe the staff who goes here & there to take your food.

Not just once, definitely not an isolated incident. Happened a few times over several outlets.

Btw, drinks left on the counters are not used... but over prepared... that is still acceptable as it had not been served out of the counter. Once the food/drinks leave the counter, it had to be thrown even if the wrapper/cover are all intact when they are returned.
That is not an issue... I always make special orders... so that they will prepare new one in front of my eyes.... ![]()

Dun waste your time. I think they will reply you in this manner - "Thank you for your feedback. We have investigated the whole incident and found no lapse in our hygeine and food safety requirements. In Macdonalds, food safety requirements is our utmost concern and in regards to food that has already been served but rejected by our customer, these foods will be thrown away and destroyed. All our staff are being trained on proper food handling and hygiene. We thank you for your feedback and patronage. Hope to see you soon at MacDonalds."
Take videos of it happening then let their management see a copy of it
What you can do is feedback immediately next time when it happens.
E-mailing takes up your time, and with standard replies being expected to be replied back.

I saw thru the opening to the kitchen how they prepared a special order or re-assemble "new" order.....
.....I ordered a sausage muffin with egg, they take an existing sausage muffin left on the shelf for some time and just add in 1 egg patty and re-wrap. Ta da!!! Sausage muffin with egg but only the egg patty is fresh and piping hot. The buns & meat patty is stale.
I got to salute to those mcdonalds aunties for really knowing how to do short-cut jobs and instead of re-doing a new order for us!!!

Yes, I think so too. Somemore, they asked for my postal address in the feedback form.
Can't they accept anonymous but frank feedback?
ask for new order? otherwise throw tantrum?

As I have written in a previous reply above yours, your requested new order might not be really a 100% new order. Maybe, only 30% of it is new & freshly prepared....
I got to say, they are really a master of re-assembling!
No worries... My usual orders would be double cheeseburger without sauce... The cheese always melt onto the buns so impossible to redo the burger...
Even if they did... I would had notice...

I think there're ways to go "around" so don't be surprised!
mcdonalds really got to teach their staff to be honest and really do a 100% fresh & new order when customers request for it and not to do short-cut jobs or redo burgers!!
I tot that is what they supposed to do?
Especially that they changed to only prepare on the time of order thingy instead of the old pre-prepare method?
I think it would depends on the mgmt of that outlet and the staffs who are working in there... nothing's wrong with the system. Just let Mac know that their franchies are not up to the standard and they would step in...

Anonymous doesnt count as normal feedback but treated as junk feedback because it can be an act of sabotage. (staff unhappiness over another staff or just nothing-better-to-do person trying to make Macdonalds busy.)
becareful don't be too CB kia because if got PRC worker inside, he will spit into your food.
REAL STORY I SPEAK THE TRUTH NO LIES

but I still see burgers and drinks left on the shelf for ages before they're sold.
usually, I will try not to order items that are already on the shelf as they've been placed there for ages.

Like KFC? God knows how long those thighs, breasts, wings, and drumsticks have been hanging around.
I think there is a standard proceedure to deal with foods on the tray not sold... I think there should be a period where the food if not sold... will be discarded.

So, if you are not happy with the place, you just have to eat at some other place.
There is no point complaining as none of them will bother to improve it.
actually i think big players like MacDonalds would probably mind complaints and bad publicity especially nowadays when they have many competitors

still ok, they are placed in a closed cabin [with warmth] as compared to mac, which is all open for the place where they place the burger.
ethics.....
I am surprised that this kind of thing happens in fast food restaurant. I always thought they only know how to waste food.
Years ago, I worked part time in Burger King. Not only they dun recycle food. If food prepared and not sold in 10 minutes, throw! I everytime saw them throw, I very heart pain. the food still edible what.
But now, I hear that Mcdonalds recycle food. wahhhh times have changed or what.
