how about asking the forum owner to pay people to post..................?
how about the members here pay for weekly ads in the newspapers ?
or this forum do it MLM style.............or like the Church..............with monthly tithes ?

There is already the longstanding sammyboy forum for that. And it is thriving because of serious moderation and everybody contributes productively with relevant posts.

There was a time when this forum was relatively active.
This was several years ago.
But gradually things change.
It slowly and steadily diminish and dwindle.
The main root cause of this, is the lack of attention on the part of the owner / admin.
It's been overtaken by other forums as well as non-forum mediums.
This forum is a private forum made by someone (an individual named Jason) with no organizational backup from any other sources (I only see another individual named FireIce)
Compared this with other Singapore forums such as STOMP, or Asia1 forum, or Hardwarezone,
Those forums are backed by companies, have resources, and cross-media. They are more lively, have more segments, and so on.
Here ?
Lack of innovation, lack of initiative, lack of promotion,
there is nothing here.
It is a forum made to rot.
Like I said, it will just end up to be a small, niche, legacy forum.
As an indication, we can look at the top subforums here,
Buses, MRT Trains, and Taxi Driver subforums are among the top ones.
These are niche, hobbyist ones.
So SGForums has already become a small niche legacy forum.
You made this topic "how to save SGForums" is also useless, because your ideas and so on, will not be implemented or even considered.
Like I said, there is a lack of will and attention.
