same as buddhism.
personally i think all this heaven hell stuff is crap. when u die, the last thing u see b4 your eyes, the thoughts that run through your mind, that is your heaven and your hell. if when u die u only have regrets, that is hell.

I am not condemning Christianity.... the theory behind the religion is sound....like most religions...what I h8te about Christianity is the historical horror behind it... it was essentially politics in the middle ages... crusades against muslims.... destroying cities.... like wiping out the Cathars in the name of the "Lord"... and burning old ladies saying they are withces... all that bull shit!

well theres such a thing call karma and i believe u have to do certain things before you can attain that, not everyone can have that. b]
That is good, but sadly,I know of people from your religion who treat non-believers as infidels...Originally posted by gasband:I guess i just wanna summarise it up by saying that a religions' teachings do not amount to condemnation of another. It is true that God says that only through Jesus can people come to Him. That is a truth in christianity but may not be to some of you. When I tell my frens this truth i believe, i make it clear in no way do i condemn them or their religion, in the same way, i take no offence when someone tells me that christianity is alot of bull cos i rather people tells me that than telling me they do not know anything abt christianity. To be able to say Jesus is bull means you must have read quite abit about Him, and I thank God for that
Beyond our faith an beliefs, my frens are very important to me. I cannot give concrete evidence that I will go to heaven but mine faith in God is afterall a faith but a strong one. But for now, whether my frens or people choose christianity or not, i treasure them as i always had.
hahahaha dun be sad, we meet people like tat everyday, dun we. WE meet people everyday who tries to put us down everyday. I am a very firm believer in God and I always share to my frens but i think i am thankful to say my frens never 'siam' me cos i think i respect them. Well i get people who come up to me and say "F**k you god." or "I am Satan. Kill me." hahahaha, i get mocked too, but i do not mind man, just be cool l ah, next time u meet such people, remember that how they behave is not an accurate representation of who God is and just tell them that you do not really like how they behave and just walk off, no sweat...God blessOriginally posted by Doenitz:That is good, but sadly,I know of people from your religion who treat non-believers as infidels...

ya u must still do goodOriginally posted by SingaporeMacross:jesus says that not all believers will go to heaven.....
i didn't say wrong ahOriginally posted by gasband:well theres such a thing call karma and i believe u have to do certain things before you can attain that, not everyone can have that. What i am trying to say is not to discredit any teachings here. What i am trying to do is that every religion always have teachings to do certain things so that you can reap benefits. Even reincarnation into what animal or humans depend on your doings in this life isnt it? All i can, every religion has a general cause and effect teaching, so what's so wrong abt islam or christianity teaching on it?
hehehehe to put things into perspective, sorry ah cant resist this...Originally posted by |-|05|:ya u must still do good
Anyway i find "charismatic" chirstans scary haha like really scary
ok sorry if i have misunderstood you. Unfortunately, that is true according to God. I have tried to tell this truth to my frens in a more gentler way sometimes and of cos met with disdain most of the times hahaha, but well, over the years God has taught me, why focus on that? The will of God when He came was not to throw PEOPLE, His own children into hell, but His purpose rather was to offer us His love. In Luke 19:10 (For the Son of Man came to seek and to save what was lost) is the best example of His purpose. He did not come and say "Hey, believe in me or else go to hell" and round it off with an evil laff...he never came to focus on that. Unfortunately, if you dun choose to accept His love, the other alternative is to walk away from Him.Originally posted by nismoS132:i didn't say wrong ah
i just don't like "believe in me or go to hell".
i'm kinda ok with all other aspects of the religions.
the 10 commandments is a good example.

"What follows can be deemed as a rather sensitive topic to Christians, and I hope whoever who reads on analyse the situation objectively, rationally and sanely. Let's leave the teachings of religions out and focus on the issue, and the implications.
I got this email exchange from Harvest Times. A publication of the City Harvest Church. Just in case you are questioning the validity of this email, the email was published online at the City Harvest Website.

Talk_cockÂ’s crap:
Guns donÂ’t kill people.
Death doesnÂ’t kill people.
It is a spiritual fact!
You seem to put faith in science. But science and spirituality are one; just that science has not caught up with spirituality yet. The miracles in the ancient texts (Koran, Bible, Sutras) CAN be explained by Universal Laws. Just as gravity exists before Newton, Universal Laws exist before scientific discoveries.
Buddhism and the ancient Yogic Science will one day unite science and spirituality. Many do not know why Yoga is now practiced in the West, or why Tibetan monks have reincarnated as Westerners. Dalai Lama has agreed that if science can prove that any single Buddhist doctrine can be proved wrong, he will take it out of his teachings, specifically on the cardinal notion of reincarnation. (To prove a theory wrong, one needs only to prove with one example. To prove a theory right, one needs to prove it true for all cases)
Christianity and Islam have much ‘fate’ in the coming decades. [b]They will have to show the world the true spirit that is worthy of their religions. Few Christians have understood the true significance of Luke 12:51-52, “Do you suppose that I have come to give peace on earth? I tell you, not at all, but rather division. For from now on five in one house will be divided: three against two, and two against three.” The sudden revival of Gnostic Christians (Christians who believe they can reach God without the help of Churches) and Islamic Sufis (Muslim who believe in Inner Jihad) is but a small step.
