buddhist who do good deeds can attain nirvana, that is heaven.
there are a few cycles(cant remember how many), when you finished these cycles with good deeds embedded in them, you will attain nirvana..
i loved the buddhist teachings (yes i'm buddhist) but i'm not sure whether to believe in it or not...anyway, buddhism doesnt force me to believe in em anyway...i just read the teachings..great read! -

I am not condemning Christianity.... the theory behind the religion is sound....like most religions...what I h8te about Christianity is the historical horror behind it... it was essentially politics in the middle ages... crusades against muslims.... destroying cities.... like wiping out the Cathars in the name of the "Lord"... and burning old ladies saying they are withces... all that bull shit!

I guess i just wanna summarise it up by saying that a religions' teachings do not amount to condemnation of another. It is true that God says that only through Jesus can people come to Him. That is a truth in christianity but may not be to some of you. When I tell my frens this truth i believe, i make it clear in no way do i condemn them or their religion, in the same way, i take no offence when someone tells me that christianity is alot of bull cos i rather people tells me that than telling me they do not know anything abt christianity. To be able to say Jesus is bull means you must have read quite abit about Him, and I thank God for that
Beyond our faith an beliefs, my frens are very important to me. I cannot give concrete evidence that I will go to heaven but mine faith in God is afterall a faith but a strong one. But for now, whether my frens or people choose christianity or not, i treasure them as i always had. -

I am a very firm believer in God and I always share to my frens but i think i am thankful to say my frens never 'siam' me cos i think i respect them. Well i get people who come up to me and say "F**k you god." or "I am Satan. According to christianity, we go to heaven be with God because He gave us a provision in Jesus and we believe in Him, but GOOD WORKS will never bring us to GOD according to the bible.
I believe what Macross was saying when he say not all believers will go to heaven is found in the verse Matthew 7:21-23
"Thus, by their fruit you will recognize them. Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. Many will say to me on that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and in your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?'"
Some people believe for the sake of going heaven but a true disciple who believes in God will produce 'Fruits' or in one context good works. Remember, good works is a result of us putting our trust in God and God enables us to do good works in His name. It is not good works that make God accept us.
Thus God is saying Thus by their fruit you will recognise them, any true believers will have fruits naturally becos God will enable them, but people who just use their mouth to pay lip service will never enter the kingdom of God. -
ok sorry if i have misunderstood you. Unfortunately, that is true according to God. I have tried to tell this truth to my frens in a more gentler way sometimes and of cos met with disdain most of the times hahaha, but well, over the years God has taught me, why focus on that? The will of God when He came was not to throw PEOPLE, His own children into hell, but His purpose rather was to offer us His love. In Luke 19:10 (For the Son of Man came to seek and to save what was lost) is the best example of His purpose. He did not come and say "Hey, believe in me or else go to hell" and round it off with an evil laff...he never came to focus on that. I understand your frustration on such teachings, it seem almost unfair and 'controlling'. I use to think like you, really. But when I came to God, i realise that why do i have to focus on hell when i have a God who offers me love.

“See the Supreme (Krishna, Christ, Buddha, Allah, etc) in the people you deal with.” -

You seem to put faith in science. But science and spirituality are one; just that science has not caught up with spirituality yet. The miracles in the ancient texts (Koran, Bible, Sutras) CAN be explained by Universal Laws. Just as gravity exists before Newton, Universal Laws exist before scientific discoveries.
Buddhism and the ancient Yogic Science will one day unite science and spirituality. Many do not know why Yoga is now practiced in the West, or why Tibetan monks have reincarnated as Westerners. Dalai Lama has agreed that if science can prove that any single Buddhist doctrine can be proved wrong, he will take it out of his teachings, specifically on the cardinal notion of reincarnation. (To prove a theory wrong, one needs only to prove with one example. To prove a theory right, one needs to prove it true for all cases)
Christianity and Islam have much ‘fate’ in the coming decades. They will have to show the world the true spirit that is worthy of their religions. Few Christians have understood the true significance of Luke 12:51-52, “Do you suppose that I have come to give peace on earth? I tell you, not at all, but rather division. For from now on five in one house will be divided: three against two, and two against three.” The sudden revival of Gnostic Christians (Christians who believe they can reach God without the help of Churches) and Islamic Sufis (Muslim who believe in Inner Jihad) is but a small step. -
