When I was in kindergarten, k2, my mom will come fetch me and buy me ice cream after school...
One of my most unfond memory is the passing of my grandma when i was in p2... 1986..Missed her a lot.. Used to go wet market with her and then the uncle and auntie will comment on how chubby i m...
One of the memory is also the place where I stay, go back there from time to time to revisit those memories.. used to stay at pple's park chinatown area, Primary school was there.. kindergarten was there near hock hai..then moved away to the east and then to the west remembered seeing chinatown point being constructed..
Much has changed.. makes me wonder if the place has changed does that part of one's memory change and is that part of you lost forever? -
My paternal grandma used to have animal farm (without snowball and napoleon hehe) and vegetable patch.
She lives in a wooden house, while my eldest uncle lives right next to it, in a wooden/concrete house. Behind the house there used to be a cordoned area for ducks, and quacking all day. In front next to the gate, are the assortment of peacocks, chickens and god-knows-what. Well, used to chase the chickens and the peacocks. Right in the ground there is one unused well, and a rambutan tree!
Wel, she has one vegetable patch, where she always give us produce from it, even till now. Kangkong, lettuce and others...
My family have a rubber plantation where my uncle is still now tapping, together with my granduncles family. What I like is to pick the durians from the durian trees on the grounds.
Well thats about all, unless you want to my grandma who stopped a bulldozer from running over my house vegetable patch haha.... -

I realised that our childhood are much plainer than the children's nowadays.
I remembered that the chinese essays topic about 'My birthday present'...many of us wrote about having a book, badminton racquet for a present.....and seemed so contented. Nowadays...try giving such things to the kids...they will ask u 'Where is my handphone present?'
and true enough...my cousin got a handphone as his present after receiving his PSLE results...
time has changed....children are constantly exposed to the world out there not meant for them yet. Other than physiological difference..i guess most kids now behaves very much older than they ought to be. -

i used to play zero-point, five stone, chatek. nowadays i don't see children playing anymore of those like they are extinct already or something. those were really very fun and funny, come to think of it especially the zero-point. who invented them exactly? some singaporean kid i guess and seems like this was a very 'singaporean' kid games and so nostalgic and definitely something worth treasuring as part of our history and kids culture. any of you play those before?

I recall those days of playing with Dragonball trading cards. I was introduced to them via a friend and I didn't really like them. So only play to entertain and accompany him since he's my good friend.
Remember, those type of Dragonball cards when you put them into a plastic holder, the 2-digit value of the card will show.
Once, I sold a 99pt (full power) card to someone for $2 as I was broke at the end of the day and needed the money to buy ice-cream and drink. At young age I was, the cards are useless to me while other kids go crazy over them.
